18,000
Multilingual Helpline Call Volume (2020-2023)
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, NAPCA launched its free, nationwide 1-800 Multilingual Helpline for older adults and caregivers in March 2020. From its inception through December 2023, the Helpline has handled nearly 18,000 calls across 10+ states, delivering critical, in-language support to those in need.
During the pandemic, NAPCA’s Helpline counselors provided essential guidance on COVID-19 vaccines and emergency resources, ensuring AANHPI seniors had access to accurate, life-saving information. Today, the Helpline remains a vital resource, offering assistance on Social Security, Medicare, public benefits, and more. Recognized for its impact, NAPCA’s Helpline has been featured by QUARTZ and covered by NBC News.
