NAPCA’s Board of Directors Appoints New Leadership
“We are excited to welcome David to NAPCA,” said Gie Kim, Chairwoman of NAPCA’s Board of Directors. “We are confident that he will be able to quickly build on Joon Bang’s legacy of strength, innovation and service to lead us into the next phase of NAPCA’s contribution to preserving and promoting the dignity, well-being, and quality of life of the AANHPI population as they age.
He brings an added wealth of non-profit and community experience to the organization from serving on the boards of several national organizations such as the National Osteoporosis Foundation, OASIS Institute, Duke University Libraries and the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS),” concluded Ms. Kim.
“I am honored to have been chosen by NAPCA’s board to lead NAPCA to its next evolution in these challenging, yet dynamic times. My thanks to my predecessor, Joon Bang for his dedicated efforts in re-establishing a strong directional foundation for NAPCA that I will be able to work from. Serving our seniors and their families and caregivers has become even more critical in light of the ongoing pandemic and the pernicious rise of anti-Asian hate and violence, especially against Asian seniors. It is with this mind that I will be focused on bringing together all of NAPCA’s stakeholders to improve the lives and well-being of all Americans of Asian descent.”
