Logistical Support Assistant

NAPCA needs a senior 55 years of age or older (PL-98-313) to work under the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program, for the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Pacific Ecological Systems Division (PESD) in Corvallis, OR.

Required Qualifications:  Must be 55 years of age or older, and a US Citizen.  Have at least two years of experience in property inventory and logistics.  Be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds, and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and dust.  Be competent in MS Word, Excel, and use of business machines. Be able to learn new software that is agency-specific to tasks.

Job Description:  Provide logistical support for physical property of the Pacific Ecological Systems Division of EPA.  Organize and maintain EPA storage areas to including moving equipment and furniture as required. Maintain inventory of storage areas. Collect, sort, and package recyclable materials from storage areas.  Assist in the organization of the disposition of excess property.  Maintain spreadsheet of surplus property as required.  Clear and organize offices when vacated, and recycle or store materials as appropriate.  Wear proper gloves and shoes when moving equipment, wear lab coat and safety goggles when moving equipment in the laboratories.  Other duties as assigned.

$12.00 per hour / 24 hours per week.  Temporary year-to-year.  Holidays, vacation, sick leave, self-paid dental insurance.  EOE.
