NAPCA needs a senior 55 years of age or older (PL-98-313) to work under the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program, for the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Qualifications: 

Must be 55 years of age or older and a U.S. citizen.  Minimum 5 years’ experience in administrative/technical support.  Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate using spreadsheet and database and work with minimum of supervision.  Efficient in Windows, Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.  Ability to use business office machines such as scanners, copiers, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Technical Analysis and Evaluation:

Assist with the designing and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases for the Division Director. Works with the program analyst to review and prepare reports. Coordinate and maintain the clearance process/system of paperwork, scientific documents/technical information and products.

Office Management:

Perform administrative functions to support the Division Director and Associate Deputy Director.  Coordinate the preparation of travel authorizations and vouchers for domestic and international travel.  Update division’s training and travel plan.  Provide file management assistance to division staff and maintain office supplies.

Conference and workshop support:

Support EPA and its sponsored workshops, symposia, and conferences.  Manage multiple conference room schedules using database.  Set up video conference equipment in office conference rooms.

$10.30 per hour / 40 hours per week.  Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.  Program-paid medical insurance and self-paid dental and vision plans are available. Program enrollment is temporary year-to-year.
