Miriam Suen
SCSEP Regional Director, Los Angeles
Miriam joined NAPCA in 2010, dedicated to helping older adults transition into unsubsidized employment, achieve economic self-sufficiency, and remain active contributors to society.
With over 25 years of nonprofit experience serving low-income AAPI individuals, families, and mature workers, she firmly believes in the old Chinese saying: A senior is an asset to a family - that matured workers are assets to the society.
Miriam earned her degree in Mass Communication from Hong Kong Baptist University. She is an active member of the Asian Pacific Islander Dementia Care Network and previously served on the Asian Pacific Islander Older Adult Task Force. She was also a Community Advisory Board member for UCLA’s Chinese American Stroke Prevention/Intervention Research Program.
