NAPCA Secures Archstone Foundation Grant Renewal to Expand Caregiver Project
The National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA) is proud to announce a two-year grant from the Archstone Foundation, further strengthening its mission to support Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) older adults.
The Caregiver Project, launched last year to address the critical need for culturally and linguistically appropriate senior care services, will now expand to include a comprehensive, publicly accessible database starting in California. This tool will connect caregivers and older adults with verified service providers who offer linguistically and culturally competent care.
"Finding the right support can be a challenge, especially for those facing language and cultural barriers," said Polly Colby, Managing Director at NAPCA. "With the Archstone Foundation’s continued support, we’re ensuring that AANHPI caregivers and elders can access the resources they need—quickly and easily."
Key Project Highlights:
Development of a comprehensive service inventory tailored to AANHPI communities
Creation of a searchable public database featuring providers with language and cultural competencies
Strengthening a network of accessible, inclusive caregiving resources
NAPCA Calls on California Service Providers to Join the Initiative
To ensure the database reflects the full range of available services, NAPCA is inviting California-based service providers to participate by completing a short survey. This will help assess language capabilities and cultural competencies, ensuring caregivers and older adults can connect with the right resources.
Service providers can contribute by completing the survey here:
